Bangladeshi Student Achieves Global Recognition: Builds Million-Dollar Startup in the U.S.
USANewsOnline.Com Desk, New York : Md Tariquzzaman, a Master’s graduate in Computer Science from Southern Arkansas University, has been internationally recognized for his extraordinary achievements as the founder of RentYard, a groundbreaking rental platform transforming how students, professionals, and immigrants secure housing in the United States.
Within just one year of launch, RentYard reached a valuation of $1 million—an achievement that underscores Tariquzzaman’s extraordinary ability as both a software developer and entrepreneur.
RentYard addresses one of the most pressing challenges faced by millions of newcomers to the U.S.: finding safe and affordable housing without rental history, local guarantors, or familiarity with complex lease paperwork. The app eliminates these barriers, enabling users to confidently rent and manage homes—even remotely from abroad. Importantly, RentYard helps legal newcomers only, ensuring the platform supports those building a compliant and secure future in the U.S.
“My own experience as a newcomer inspired RentYard,” said Tariquzzaman. “I wanted to create a platform that makes renting safe, transparent, and accessible for everyone.”
Tariquzzaman’s innovation has been spotlighted at leading international events, including Web Summit Canada, Small Business Expo in Dallas, TX, and Global Entrepreneurship Week in Fort Worth. In recognition of his groundbreaking work, he was named one of America’s Top 100 Small Business Innovators in DFW area 2024—placing him among the top 5% of entrepreneurs nationwide.
In 2025, his leadership and impact as a founder earned him nominations for several prestigious honors, including the Startup Company CEO Tech Titans Award, the Venture Dallas Startup of the Year Awards, and the Social Impact Champion Award at Amplify by the Dallas Entrepreneur Center (DEC). These recognitions reflect his growing reputation as a founder whose work is not only innovative but also socially impactful.
Beyond his entrepreneurial success, Tariquzzaman contributes to the U.S. innovation ecosystem as a pitch competition judge with Eagle Venture Lab, a panelist, and a startup mentor in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Through these roles, he inspires and supports the next generation of founders.
As RentYard expands internationally—already entering the Bangladeshi housing market and with plans to reach additional countries by 2030—Tariquzzaman’s vision is creating a global cross-border rental solution that empowers millions worldwide.
His journey from international student to globally recognized entrepreneur demonstrates how determination, vision, and originality can not only solve critical problems but also shape industries across borders.
