NY CITY COMPTROLLER JOHN LIU CAMPAIGN NUMBERS FOR JAN 2013 CAMPAIGN FINANCE FILING

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Friends of John Liu today announced that 2,052 contributions for a total of $522,000 were received during the July 12, 2012 – January 11, 2013 reporting period; $345,000 were expended within the same filing period.  The campaign has $2,025,000 in cash on hand.  With $509,000 in total matchable contributions claimed to-date, the campaign can apply for $3,054,000 in public funds under the NYC Campaign Finance Program.
Comptroller Liu stated, “I’m truly touched by the magnitude of support from my fellow New Yorkers, especially from first-time donors to any campaign, and humbly proud of the strong foundation from which I will soon launch my 2013 campaign.  All systems go, full steam ahead!”
