Bangladesh Ambassador Congratulates Hansen Clarke for winning Congressional seat in Michigan.

 Mr. Akramul Qader, Bangladesh Ambassador to USA November 3 congratulated Mr. Hansen Clarke (13th Congressional District, Michigan) for winning a Congressional seat in the mid-term election held on 2 November,2010. In his message, sent on behalf of the Government of Bangladesh and Bangladeshi Diaspora living in USA, Ambassador Qader said that his resounding victory is a reflection of  trust and confidence he enjoys among the  people. Bangladesh Ambassador expressed his confidence that Clarke’s vast reservoir of experience and commitment to the country will be an invaluable asset in formulating policies and programs in the coming days. He further mentioned that his election as a member of the House of Representatives will be an opportunity to provide leadership on issues of global interest particularly benefiting the developing countries.

It may be mentioned here that Mr. Hansen Clarke, born of a Bangladeshi father and an American mother, has deep emotional attachment for Bangladesh-his ancestral land-and is widely respected among the Bangladeshi diaspora, among others.
