Foreign Minister visits Consulate General of Bangladesh in New York

UsaNewsOnline.Com, New York : Mr. Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali, MP, Foreign Minister of Bangladesh visited Consulate General of Bangladesh  in  New York on 22 April.  Mr. Md. Shameem Ahsan, ndc, Consul General and other Officers and Officials of the Mission welcomed him.

Foreign Minister, while speaking with the officers and officials, highlighted on the policy priorities of the present Government under the leadership of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. While touching on the consular and welfare issues, he reiterated that the present government attached highest priority for the well-being of the expatriate Bangladesh nationals who are making enormous contribution to the buoyancy of the economy of the country. He added that digitalization of consular services under the present government has significantly helped render services more expeditiously and efficiently. The Consul General briefly narrated the activities of the Mission and expressed Mission’s gratefulness for the continued support being received from the Government. The Foreign Minister deeply appreciated the Mission officials for their dedicated services. He advised all officials to work with a collective approach from their respective position. The Minister felt that all should feel proud that Bangladesh, under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, is marching ahead and is now considered as a role model for its impressive successes both at home and in the international arena. He urged all officials to render services in respective fields with more devotion. In this regard, the Minister assured to extend all-out support from the Ministry.

The Minister later made a tour to various Sections of the Consulate General. Mr. Masud Bin Momen, Ambassador & Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to UN, Mr. Mustafzur Rahman, Director General (United Nations), senior officials/delegates from the Government, among others, were in attendance.
