BACONA & Bound for Success Presents Church Avenue’s Very First Spring Cleaning Festival at Avenue C Plaza

New York : On Saturday, May 14^th in Church Avenue Brooklyn, BACONA (Bangladeshi American Center of North America) held a Spring Cleaning Festival in Avenue C Plaza. BACONA is a not-for-profit organization that works with children, elderly people, and the immigrant community. Bound for Success is reputed for its tutoring center offering tutoring services to grades K-12. BACONA’s Spring Cleaning Festival was held with the participation of various respected community leaders. The convener of the Bangladesh American Center of North America and its media partner of the event, Millennium TV, took part in the mission to clean the Bengali community in Brooklyn. Chief guest Mrs. Ayesha Noor said, “cleanliness is a part of faith, it is important for all parents to teach their children proper cleaning from an early age.” Moinul Alam (Bappi) and Mohammed Mahab—Bound for Success founders, managing partners of Millennium TV and BACONA consultants— both promote a healthy, clean, beautiful environment for the community. According to Mr. Mahab and Mr. Alam, “It is our moral duty to teach our children how to clean and build a better world for everyone in it.” Officers from 66 Precinct also attended the festival. Officer Gonzales, and prominent community leaders Swapan Maliki, Nishat Noor (Director of Millennium TV), Dima Nefartity (Millennium TV News Anchor), BACONA director Mrs. Nasreen Malik, and community board member of District 12 (Brooklyn) Ms. Annie Ferdous, participated in the festival, including Faria Alam, Fahad Malik, Sabrina, Rafi, Mahek, Meem, Nadia who worked as volunteers. Mr. Amjad and Rahath made arrangements for hotdogs and food to be given at the event. The Spring Cleaning Festival was the first endeavor in making Church Avenue a cleaner community.
