ASAAL MEMBER APPOINTED TO THE BRONX COMMUNITY BOARD 9

UsaNewsOnline.Com Desk, New York : The Alliance of South Asian American Labor (ASAAL) is proud to announce that the Executive Director of the ASAAL Bronx Chapter and the Vice President of the ASAAL National Council, Mr. Adunoman Rahman (Shobuj) has been appointed to serve as a member of Community Board # 9 in the Bronx, covering Parkchester, Castle Hill, and Sound View areas, at the recommendation of Council Member Annabel Palma, for a period of two years commencing on April 1, 2016 and ending on March 31, 2018.  Mr. Rahman is a member of SEIU Local 300 Civil Service Forum and works in the Comptroller’s Office of the City of New York.

Mr. Adunoman Rahman is one of many ASAAL Executive members who serve on the Community Boards of the City’s five boroughs including Mohammed Tohin, who was the President of ASAAL Queens Chapter and a National Vice President and Mamnunul Haq of the Brooklyn Chapter and a National Vice President of ASAAL.

As a member of Community Board # 9 Mr. Rahman joins an elite group of civic activists who are tasked with the responsibility to assure that his community works at the highest level possible to serve all its citizens.
