CMBBA celebrates its largest street fair 2016 in Brooklyn, New York

UsaNewsOnline.COM Desk, New York : On Sunday August 28 Church McDonald Bangladeshi Business Association celebrated Pothomela-2016 in Brooklyn. The event was organized by in joint between CMBBA with Church McDonald Bangladeshi Business Association Street Fair Committee 2016. The events convening committee convener was AH Khondoker Juglu and the Member Secretary of the event was Mohammad M Mahab. The Chief Guest of the Event Congresswomen Yvette D. Clarke inaugurated the ceremony. Present at the opening Mr Daniel Abramson From The NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio Office, NYPD South Deputy Executive Charles M. Scholl, Councilman Brad Lander, President of NYPD Muslim Police Officer Association Captain Rana Adeel. The convener and Member Secretary gave the opening ceremony’s speech. The joyful Television presenter Mr. Bulbul Hassan, who is very a prominent program director and a representative from RTV, hosted the entire event. The whole event was hosted all day and shown as a live program. The event was held in the heart of the Bangladeshi Community in McDonald Avenue Brooklyn, New York. Many Bangladeshi and American Social Organization like Kids PDD tacklers, South Asian Community Care Organization, Educational Organization, Community Board, Council Member office beside that food, clothing,  jewelry, toys and music were being sold in stalls. Local and visiting singers from Bangladesh performed live music.

A colorful magazine “Sawdagor” in Bengali was published, sponsoring Bangladeshi businesses, stories, poetry, etc. A open discussion, on behalf of the magazine was opened by Congresswomen Yvette D. Clarke and was then inaugurated for its opening for Mohammad Mahab who is its Chief Editor of the magazine “Sawdagor”. Afterwards the editor of the Sawdagor Magazine introduced himself and described the magazine’s 11th edition and how he prepared and organaized it. Mohammad Mahab is also main stream leader and the Member secretary of CMBBA street fair committee; he stated his mission and vision to the audience about events and programs. The City Official delivered their message, including New York City Mayor de Blasio for its annual journal Sawdagor. Afterwards, awards and citations were received from the New York City Mayor De Blasio, Mr. Daniel happily handed over to the 3 honorees to Convener AH Khondoker Juglu, Magazine Editor and Member secretary, Mohammad Mahab, and President & CEO of Time Television, also proclamation was given from the office of Congresswomen Yvette D.Clarke.  Honorable chief guest of the Event Yvette D.Clarke handed Over the proclamation to the  Acting CMBBA President Kamal Uddin, CMBBA general Secretary Mohammad L Ali, Member  Secretary Mohammad Mahab Ul, Convener, AH Khondaker Juglu, Mir Kashem, joint secretary and Rahul Chowdhury  Including received citations from NYC Comptroller office  at the ceremony were, Ms Alya Latif who handed over the citations to Mohammad Mahab. Citations were passed to those who showed that they are a great leader and worked hard for this event. Ms Alya Latif mentioned in her speech that these people received citations because of their hard work and leadership for community services; especially services regarding immigrant issues and teaching English more than 30 thousand people attended this event by Honorable Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adam, NYC councilman Brad Lander. Mathieu Eugene was a special guest at the opening ceremony. CMBBA’s CMBBA General Secretary Mohammed L Ali, who was successfully general secretary for three years, gave a special speech and both received awards on behalf of CMBBA. They highlighted the CMBBA activity for the past 11 years. Awards were handed over to the entire special guest. An award was also presented from CMBBA Street fair committee to the President and CEO Abu Taher Time Television, all City officials including Congress women Yvette D Clarke. Before ending the program Member secretary Mohammad Mahab  and General Secretary of CMBBA Mohammed L Ali gave a special speech on behalf of the event. More than 30 thousand people attended this event; many musical artists were present in this large crowd. Some were Rizia Parveen, Salim Chowdhury and many others artists presented songs to the audience. A raffle draw was held before ending the program with grand prizes such as Cash money sponsored By Abdul Kader, laptop, Air tickets; valuable household items, including a coupon for free tutoring which is  from Kids PDD tacklers, free one year evaluation from Kids consulting and offers from Bound for success for tutoring center for free tuition coupon. At the event Social Organization Lyca mobile, People and Tech, SACO America all were present at the event. Time Television was the Main Media Partner.  Many Bangladeshi Community leaders and electronic media personnel participated and enjoyed the event. All the Bengali and the national English news paper published stories about this event, thanks to editors like Abu Taher Editor and CEO of Bangla patrika, Mr. Kowshik from weekly Bangalee news paper, Nazmul Hassan from weekly Porichoy news paper.
