Bangladesh Embassy in Washington DC celebrates victory day
USANEWS: The 39th anniversary of victory day was celebrated at Bangladesh Embassy in Washington DC today with due enthusiasm and fervor. Detail programs have been chalked out to celebrate the day. Bangladesh Ambassador to USA and State Minister Akramul Qader this morning (16 December) ceremonially hoisted the national flag on the embassy premises in presence of the officers and officials of the embassy. National anthem was played during the flag hoisting.
Messages of president Mohammad Zillur Rahman, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister Dr. Dipu Moni were read out on the occasion.
A special Munajat was offered for the martyrs seeking divine blessings for the eternal peace of the departed souls , who had made supreme sacrifices to liberate the country and also prayed for the peace and prosperity of the country under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
On the occasion, a reception and cultural function will be held at the Bangabandhu auditorium of the embassy on December 18 to facilitate the participation of the expatriate Bangladeshis.
