Mayor Bill de Blasio and the Muslim Community eats Iftar-2017

Mohammad Mahab, New York—On Thursday, June 1,2017 The honorable NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio delivered his remarks at the Ramadan Iftar Dinner 2017 at Gracie Mansion. Below is the Mayor’s remarks: Thank you, Sarah Sayeed and Nisha Augural, every one  Asalam Alaikum, we are so glad you could join us tonight here tonight at Gracie Mansion. We have so much to celebrate today. he also mention Muslim Country Ambassador from Pakistan, Bangladesh and  representative from different organizations.   Those who are representing here, like Islamic Relief USA, Zakat Foundation of America, COPO, Council of South Asian Community Care Organization, SACO America People’s Organization, Vintage Food Corp etc, in New York City earlier had given a short speech delivered  by Mayor de Blasio and wife Chirlane McCray during the opening ceremony. Imaam from different mosques participated at this opening and performed Maghreb Prayer  in this location before the breaking fast by the Manure AppetizersThe Mayor’s office extends its appreciation to the all sponsors for their generous support of the event.Now is the holiest time of year for tens of thousands of New Yorkers. It’s a time for our families, Muslim New Yorkers, and millions of Muslims around the world to come together. Let me wish you all good health, happiness and fulfillment. And thank you all for joining us this evening. Let me especially thank all of the community leaders, including the Imams, let’s thank the generous businesses and organizations supporting this event, including the, Ali Baba Restaurant, the Council of People’s Organization, and a special thanks to all City Council members for joining us tonight. We’re glad you could be here this evening.
