Press Release About The New Committee Of ASAAL Queens Chapter : Khan Showkat

New York : Last June-05-2017, the online portal USANEWSONLINE.COM published a press release about the new committee of ASAAL Queens Chapter. On that news Maf Mishba Uddin wrote bunch of lies about me and ASAAL Queens Chapter meeting. That’s why I should say something about the truth.

They wrote “ At these meetings it was decided that, based on the constitution and presentation made by the Central Secretary Md. Karim Chowdhury, the Queens Chapter will prepare our membership to reform the Queens Chapter Executive Committee as currently most members can’t give time to volunteer for the community and therefore are not producing any results.” This is totally false. You could see the news of all the past meeting; we did not take any decision about the new committee. Our committee decided: National Election first. Last 9 years Maf Misbah Uddin holding the National President position without any election.

They also wrote “Finally on May 14, 2017 at the Chapter meeting after consulting with members who were present at the last three meetings an Executive Committee was proposed to the Chapter for discussion. Mr. Showkat Khan got upset and got boisterous and started verbal abuse for not seeing his name as President in the proposed Committee. At this meeting 39 members were present and everyone tried to cool him down!” This statement is totally false. I was present from beginning to the end of the meeting. Finally at the end I and Shabul uddin (Executive Director) clearly announced: (1). Immediately National Election should announce. (2). After National election then every Chapter will arrange their chapter election. (3). In the Constitution National President and Chapter President has no time limit, as per Constitution every Chapter is 2 years term. Queens Chapter’s term will finish this December. So after the national Election we will arrange an open and fair election. (4) Because Queens Chapter has no problem with Nation, and because Khan Showkat is interested to run for National President, so after Ramadan we will decide peacefully.

They wrote “Khan Showkat put on Facebook an article written to the Weekly newspaper Jonotar Kantho by him with lies, distortions, and contortions related to ASAAL. Clearly his goal is to destroy the reputation of ASAAL. We, at ASAAL, consider Mr. Khan’s behavior to be malicious and disgraceful and hurtful to the South Asian community in general and to ASAAL in particular. Seeing no other alternative the Queens Chapter Committee called an emergency meeting on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 6:30 pm and made a new President”. Ha ha ha, what a joke! If I did anything wrong why you don’t issue a SHOW CAUSE NOTICE to me? 

Khan Showkat said, I complained to the NYS Attorney General Charity Bureau office. They took my complaint. I wrote “I am the President of ASAAL Queens Chapter. My term will finish in the December of 2017 Convention. MAF MISBAH UDDIN is the founder and the President of our National Committee. Last 1 year I tried to run the organization on the Proper way, but I failed only for MAF MISBAH UDDIN. Because he is running this organization with a huge unfairness. So, finally last 5-15-2017, I complained to: D.A, Queens, NYS Comptroller, Queens Borough President, U.S Department of LABOR (OIG), and U.S Department of LABOR (OLMS), to Investigate the ongoing Corruptions and Unfair Practices of The: ALLIANCE OF SOUTH ASIAN AMERICAN LABOR (ASAAL). Only for these reasons, Mr MAF MISBAH UDDIN gets mad and suddenly without any pre notice and without informing me anything on 5-22-2017 he fired me and appointed a new committee.
