Iftar program held in Brooklyn New York

New York : on Thursday, June, 22nd 2017 there was a community iftar program held in the Kensington area at Avenue C plaza on McDonald Avenue Brooklyn New York. It was organized by Kensington Stewards with the collaboration of Art Built and Councilman Brad Lander office. Many community leaders, organizers, students, kids, family participated in this program. Local Imam from the Masjid Darul Zannah, Imam Muhammad Ibrahim hosted the program. Moinul Alam and Mohammad M Mahab organized the Iftar program The program started at 7:30 pm with the recitation from the Holy Quran. The fast was broken with holy water (zam zam) and Azaan was given by the Imam. Food was provided by Radhuni restaurant. Imam Ibrahim was the judge and an award was given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd via the director of Kensington Stewards organization. Ms. Diana Sanzone , Mr. Guy Buckles, Ms. Esther provided their time, efforts and had given the opportunity in order to complete the iftar program. This was the 2nd iftar program since avenue C plaza had been founded which was in 2016. Kamal Uddin acting as president,Treasurer Md. Anwar hossain, renowned businessman and community activist Lutful karim, businessman Abdur Rob Choudhury, Abu Ahmed are all Church McDonald Bangladeshi Business Association (CMBBA) leaders and were all present at the event.Also present were Hisibah Haque from Councilman Brad Lander office, Representatives from Felix W. Ortiz office, Chief of Staff of the office Mr. Maruf Alam and Nazrul Islam also participated in this Iftar program as well. Press Release.
