Historic 7th March Celebrated In Copenhagen

UsaNewsOnline.Com Desk : Embassy of Bangladesh in Copenhagen celebrated the historic 7th March toady in a befitting manner. The day started with the national flag hoisted in the morning by the Bangladesh Ambassador to Denmark Muhammad A. Muhith at the Chancery in presence of the Mission officials. Later in the evening, an open discussion session was organized at the at Chancery auditorium attended by a good number of Bangladesh Community members. The session began with recitation from the holy Quran and followed by reading out of messages from Hon’ble President and Hon’ble Prime Minister issued on this special day and screening of the original speech of Bangabandhu with English subtitle. Members of the Bangladesh Community took part in the discussion session focusing on the importance of the 7th March speech on the emergence of Bangladesh as an independent country.

Bangladesh Ambassador in his remarks highlighted on the greatness of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as a leader and as a human being whose immense sacrifices translated Bangalees’ dream of nationhood into reality. He also opined that the historic 7th March speech is one of the most influential speeches in the human history, a speech that changed the landscape of South Asia shaping the future of Bangali nation in just a few minutes. He mentioned that the speech would remain a testimony from time immemorial on how a single speech can bind a whole nation together. The event was rounded off with refreshment hosted by the Embassy.
