98th Birth Anniversary Of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Celebrated In Singapore

UsaNewsOnline.Com Desk : Bangladesh High Commission in Singapore has celebrated the 98th Birth Anniversary of Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in a festive manner and due fervor. The programme of the day turned to a colourful festive with the presence of more than 300 expatriate Bangladeshis, their family members and childrens from different schools.
Programme of the day included read out of messages from the Hon’ble President, Hon’ble Prime Minister, Foreign Minister & State Minister for Foreign Affairs, dicussuion on the childhood and glorious political career of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, recitation of poems, extempore speech and art completion for children of different age groups.

Speakers at the discussion meeting highlighted the childhood, long political career of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and recalled the invaluable contribution of the Father of the Nation to the Liberation War and Independence of Bangladesh. Mr. Md. Mustafizur Rahman, High Commissioner in his speech mentioned that this day has a great significance in our national life. The Independence of Bangladesh is earned through the sacrifice and relentless struggle of Bnagbandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The High Commissioner urged all to spread the spirit of patriotism and the philosopy of Bangabandhu among the new generations so that they can come forward to build “Sonar Bangla”- dream of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Spouse of the High Commissioner Madam Tanzina Binte Alamgir distrivuted prizes among the winners of the competitions as well as to all children participated. The guests were entertained with dinner.
