98th Birth Anniversary Of The Father Of The Nation And National Children’s Day Observed In Yangon

UsaNewsOnline.Com Desk, Yangon, Myanmar: Bangladesh Embassy, Yangon celebrated 98th Birth Anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children Day in a befitting manner in the Embassy premises on 17th March 20L7. The Embassy arranged an elaborate programme to mark the day.

The program of the day commenced with the reading out of the messages of the President and Prime Minister of Bangladesh and a discussion on the significance of the day.
Members of Bangaldesh community in Yangon participated in the discussion and highlighted the struggle and dream of the Father of the Nation to build the “Golden Bengal” – Sonar Bangla, Bangladesh Ambassador to Myanmar Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury paid deep tribute to the Father of the Nation and recalled his great contribution to the birth of an independent Bangladesh.

He inspired the children present to dedicate and prepare themselves for Nation building to realize the dream of the Father of the Nation.A cultural programme followed the discussion wherin tt ” children of Bangladesh community and Embassy family particiapated in bangla poetry recitation and art competition. Around two hundred Bangladesh community members attended the celebration and appreciated the cultural performance.
