Bangladesh Consul General meets New York City Police Commissioner   

UsaNewsOnline.Com, New York : Ms. Sadia Faizunnesa, Consul General of Bangladesh in New York called on Mr. James P. O’Neill, Police Commissioner of the New York City Police Department on 18 July 2018 at his office (1 Police Plaza). Police Commissioner Mr. O’Neill warmly welcomed and congratulated Ms. Faizunnesa for assuming the post of Consul General of Bangladesh in New York.

Consul General Ms. Faizunnesa thanked Police Commissioner for extending continuous support to the American-Bangladeshi community in New York City.

She requested the Police Commissioner to enhance patrolling in the areas where Bangladeshi community members are living especially on the occasions of religious festivals and the day of Juma prayer. Consul General highlighted the commitment and professionalism of the Bangladeshi-American members of NYPD. She has also requested to recruit more Bangladeshi-American in the NYPD, particularly women.  

Police Commissioner commended the professionalism of the Bangladeshi-Americans who are working with the New York City Police Department. Commissioner also thanked Bangladeshi community members for the supports extended to the NYPD.

Mr. Thomas P. Galati, Chief of Intelligence, Mr. John Miller, Deputy Commissioner, Intelligence & Counterterrorism and Counsellor Ms. Ayesha Haq were present during the meeting.
