STATEMENT FROM BRONX BOROUGH PRESIDENT DIAZ RE: New York State Reproductive Health Act

Thankfully, that is set to change. I support New York’s Reproductive Health Act and believe that it is a critical step forward in both protecting women’s rights and providing fundamental health services in our state.
“New York has always been a leader in providing women’s health services and this legislation will re-establish that commitment, going above and beyond the federal standard for women’s care. Given the forever looming threat that reproductive health rights could be considerably scaled back in Washington, this legislation definitively stakes out New York’s claim as a progressive defender of these vital services.
