Rushanara Ali MP due in New York May 5

 Akbar Haider Kiron :  Rushanara Ali , Member of Parliament At the House of Commons is due in New York on May 5, Thursday on a week-long special visit.  It will be the first visit by the first Bangladesh born British Parliament Member since elected in last May from Bethnal Green and Bow.

Rushanara Ali MP is likely to spend busy time New York, as she is expected to attend few civic receptions and get-togethers, Bangladesh Society of New York and The Optimists are among them. Consulate of Bangladesh might have another program with her. Rushanara Ali MP migrated to London with parents when she was 7 years old. She studied philosophy, politics and economics at the Oxford University. Before elected as the Member of Parliament Rushanara Ali served as Associate Director of Young Foundation , Chairman of Child Poverty Commission and Board of Member of Tower Hamlets College.
