ASAAL ENDORSES DONOVAN RICHARDS, JR FOR QUEENS BOROUGH PRESIDENT : VOTE MARCH 14

UsaNewsOnline.Com, New York : The Alliance of South Asian American Labor (ASAAL), a leading South Asian Labor and Community based political organization endorsed DONOVAN RICHARDS, JR candidate for Queens Borough President. The endorsement ensures a grassroots effort to reach South Asian voters while believing there will be an unprecedented South Asian voter turnout on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 with the early VOTE starting March 14, 2020.

This was one of the most important endorsements we have made recently as our endorsed candidate will lead the Borough of Queens – the World’s Borough – for years to come. All the candidates were superbly qualified and made impressive presentations. After the long interview process was over, a detailed discussion took place among ASAAL Screening Committee members and voting took place in a secret ballot! The majority of our committee members voted for the one who will understand our issues, knows our problems, and feels our pain as we are the fastest growing community in the City. As a City Council member DONOVAN RICHARDS, JR voted for Free Lunch for all children, to stop Stop and Frisk, to halt on surveillance, and passed many progressive issues during his tenure. Accordingly, if elected, we believe, DONOVAN RICHARDS, JR would be the most immigrant friendly Borough President ever who will address the needs of our South Asian community!
