DOE, CITY PLANNING TO PRESENT REOPENING PLANS TO JOINT QUEENS BOROUGH BOARD AND BOROUGH CABINET Monday, July 20
USANEWSONLINE.COM DESK, QUEENS, NY – A joint meeting of the Queens Borough Board and Queens Borough Cabinet, chaired by Acting Borough President Sharon Lee, will hear a presentation from the New York City Department of Education (DOE) outlining its plans for reopening the City’s public schools.
In addition, the New York City Department of City Planning (DCP) will update the Board and Cabinet on the scheduled citywide restart of the land use review process, which has been suspended for months in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Also, for the borough that is home to the most number of veterans in the City, the New York City Department of Veterans’ Services (DVS) will present an overview of the latest services and priorities under its new leadership.
This meeting will be conducted virtually, with Borough Board and Borough Cabinet members participating via videoconference. The meeting will also be live-streamed to the public on the Borough President’s website at www.queensbp.org. Press Release.
