NYC SMALL BUSINESS SERVICES TO BRIEF QUEENS BOROUGH BOARD Monday

USANEWSONLINE.COM DESK, QUEENS, NY – The Queens Borough Board, chaired by Acting Borough President Sharon Lee, will hear a presentation from the New York City Department of Small Business Services (SBS) about its efforts to help business owners cope with the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Borough Board will also welcome special guest speaker U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, who will discuss a variety of issues and priorities including the Ensuring Nutrition for America’s Students Act, a bill sponsored by the Senator to help stem the tide of food insecurity by extending the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) program through the current school year and expanding eligibility to allow more children to receive the nutritious meals covered by the program.
