STATEMENT FROM NYS ASSEMBLY MEMBER NATHALIA FERNÁNDEZ Re: Repeal of Governor’s Emergency Powers
UsaNewsOnline.com Desk, New York : “New Yorkers trust the leaders they elect to be honest and transparent when it comes to their health and safety. It became clear to me that the Governor broke that trust and, as such, voted in favor of revoking his emergency powers. Today’s legislation rightfully grants greater control and power to local governments who know and understand their residents’ day-to-day needs and the resources they need during these trying times. Being ‘New York Tough’ means committing to putting New Yorkers first and doing whatever it takes to help our communities recover and rebuild. Today, we gave the power back to the people.” Press Release.
