Nassau County Legislator Drucker Commemorates Memorial Day in Plainview
PLAINVIEW, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) commemorated Memorial Day by joining the Plainview-Old Bethpage community for its annual parade and ceremony on Monday, May 31. This year’s parade was retooled to consist of a patriotic car caravan through the community. Participants disembarked from their vehicles for a Memorial Day remembrance service in the town park.
“It was truly a privilege to gather with community members this year to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms in service to our great nation,” Legislator Drucker said. “Thank you to Andrew Lamkin, Carol and Lenny Symons, the Plainview Volunteer Fire Department, Plainview VFW Post 5942, American Legion Post 1812 and the many neighbors, friends and members of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Memorial Day Committee who helped us pay tribute to our hometown American heroes during these extraordinary times.” PHOTO CREDIT – Office of Legislator Arnold W.
