Bangladesh Embassy in Brazil Illuminated in Blue showing Solidarity with 15th World Autism Awareness Day
Usanewsonline.com Desk: Bangladesh Embassy in Brasilia observed the World Autism Awareness Day 2022. To mark the occasion, the chancery of the embassy was illuminated with blue lights.
It may be noted that the Embassy celebrated the Mujib Year and 102nd Birth Centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with the autistic children of a specialized school for autistic children named ‘ABRACI’.
With a view to familiarize Brazil with the fact that Bangladesh has played a major role in spreading global awareness regarding autism and autistic children, the Bangladesh Ambassador to Brazil Ambassador Sadia Faizunnesa, took the initiative to involve the children from ABRACI in the special Mujib Year event.
The Ambassador discussed with the Brazilians how Bangladesh presented the ‘Autism Resolution’ in the United Nations in 2012 and played a significant role in adopting the resolution by the member states. The Ambassador also reiterated the commitment of Bangladesh in ensuring equal rights for all children. Press Release
