Bangladesh Foreign Minister and Ambassador congratulate Secretary of State John F. Kerry

USANEWSONLINE.COM : Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. Dipu Moni, MP, has congratulated the just sworn-in US Secretary of State John F. Kerry. In a letter to Secretary Kerry the Bangladesh Foreign Minister said that his appointment comes as a true recognition of his commitment, dedication and contribution as a public servant and leader. Referring to the US-Bangladesh partnership in multiple areas of bilateral relations, flourishing US trade and US investments with Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Foreign Minister pointed out that the similarities between the two countries’ path to independence, popular representation, functioning of respective political institutions and commitment to rule of law have ensured opportunities for both nations to work together and exploit a common basis in conduct of foreign policies. The Bangladesh Foreign Minister also invited the new US Secretary of State to pay an official visit to Bangladesh at the latter’s earliest convenience.

In a separate letter Bangladesh Ambassador to the USA Akramul Qader congratulated  Mr. John F. Kerry on the latter’s taking over as the US Secretary of State. “The Bangladesh diaspora in the USA ,a great part of which, in fact, falls into the assembly of your most ardent supporters, joins me in wishing you a glorious phase in your new portfolio”-Ambassador Qader wrote in his letter. Referring to Mr. Kerry’s illustrious public service career the Bangladesh envoy stated that like other nations Bangladesh also stands to immensely gain from his vast expertise in world affairs.
