Bangladesh Foreign Minister congratulates new US Secretary of State

UsaNewsOnline.Com Desk : Bangladesh Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali, M.P. Wednesday congratulated Rex Wayne Tillerson on his appointment as the Secretary of State of the United States. In a message of felicitation, the Foreign Minister said “ I believe your appointment as the top diplomat of the United States is truly reflective of the outstanding service that you have rendered over the years to your great country.” Mahmood Ali said “Bangladesh and the United States enjoy excellent bilateral relations based on mutual respect and shared values of democracy, secularism, rule of law and human dignity.” He said: “ We have been working in close cooperation for decades to advance the bilateral and global issues of our interests and address those of our concerns.” The Foreign Minister said he is confident that under Rex Tillerson’s able stewardship, the institutional framework of the friendly relations between the two countries would continue to widen and deepen in the days ahead. “I look forward to working closely with you to take our relationship to a new height,” Mahmood Ali said.
