Dromm statement on the Supreme Court of the United States’ ruling that the Trump administration cannot terminate the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy
UsaNewsOnline.Com Desk, New York : “The Supreme Court’s ruling protects DACA recipients from the Trump administration’s cruel and capricious attempt to end the program,” said NYC Council Member Daniel Dromm (D-Jackson Heights, Elmhurst). “Such utter disregard for the rule of law would have upended the lives of countless Americans, both citizens and the undocumented. As an elected official whose district is home to tens of thousands of immigrants, I am elated that justice has prevailed here. Now Congress must pass the Dream and Promise Act to permanently deliver protections to Dreamers—our friends, family and neighbors who have contributed so much to American society.” Press Release.
