National Birth Registration Day Observed in Nigeria
UsaNewsOnline.Com Desk : Bangladesh High Commission, Abuja, Nigeria observed National Birth Registration Day,2020 at the Mission 6 October, 2020 in a befitting manner. On this occasion, the Mission organized a meeting on a zoom platform with the participation of the community members to awaken them about the importance of birth and death registration in Bangladesh and abroad.

Welcoming all participants to the event, Mr. Md. Shameem Ahsan, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Nigeria highlighted on the background of the Day while urging community members to come forward to implement the Government plan. The High Commissioner assured all-out support to ensure welfare and consular needs of the community in line with the directive of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He also stressed on the role of expatriate Bangladesh nationals in promoting Bangladesh’s interest and showcasing its positive image abroad.
Mr. Bidosh Chandra Barman, First Secretary conducted the Question & Answer Session and replied to the queries of the inquisitive community members. The community appreciated the initiative of the Government. Due to spread of COVID-19, only one mother with her child was invited among Bangladeshis to join the event in-person which was conducted from the Auditorium of the Mission. Press Release.
