NYC Council Member Dromm statement on President Trump’s decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program
UsaNewsOnline.Com Desk, Queens, NY – “This is a tragic day for the United States of America,” said NYC Council Member Daniel Dromm (D-Jackson Heights, Elmhurst). “Donald Trump’s plan to end DACA is both heartless and a blunder of epic proportions. The majority of DACA recipients are young people who have lived in the United States for most of their lives. Stripping these individuals of their work permits and their homes is not only cruel, it is un-American. We are and have always been a nation of immigrants. Our families, friends and neighbors―undocumented and lawfully present alike―deserve better than this. I urge Congress to challenge this reversal and take immediate action to fix our broken immigration system.” Press Release.
