President Trump Admits He Rode Between Subway Cars As Teen
By Ewa Kern-Jedrychowska : Long before becoming President of the United States, Donald Trump used to be a regular straphanger, though not the most cautious one.
In a recent interview with the New York Times, Trump admitted that he used to “ride between the cars” when taking the F train to the Kew-Forest School, a private preparatory school at 119-17 Union Turnpike at Austin Street.
“I’d take it from Jamaica, 179th Street. Jamaica, right? To Forest Hills. I understand the subway very well. I used to ride between the cars,” he added.
Trump, who grew up in Jamaica Estates, also said his parents “weren’t thrilled” when they found out.
The confession prompted the NYPD Chief of Transit Bureau Joseph Fox to ask straphangers via Twitter Thursday morning not to ride between the subway cars.
The NYPD considers riding between cars extremely dangerous, and people have lost their lives while doing it. dnainfo.com/new-york
