QUEENS BOROUGH BOARD TO VOTE ON FLOOD RESILIENCY TEXT AMENDMENTS AND HEAR PRESENTATION ON RANKED CHOICE VOTING
USANEWSONLINE.COM DESK, QUEENS, NY – The Queens Borough Board, chaired by Borough President Donovan Richards, will vote on the Zoning for Coastal Flood Resiliency (ZCFR) text amendments proposed by the New York City Department of City Planning (DCP) during the Board’s meeting on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. If adopted, the ZCFR proposal would amend the City’s Zoning Resolution in an effort to facilitate coastal resiliency, streamline post-Hurricane Sandy rebuilding and address climate-related flooding concerns.
In addition, the Board with be presented with an overview of the new Ranked Choice Voting system now in place for City elections.
This meeting will be conducted virtually, with Borough Board members participating via videoconference. The meeting will also be live-streamed to the public on the Borough President’s website at www.queensbp.org/community-boards. Press Release.
