QUEENS BOROUGH PRESIDENT KATZ ON THE PASSING OF SHIMON PERES
QUEENS, NY – Queens Borough President Melinda Katz stated the following on the passing of Shimon Peres, former Prime Minister, President and Foreign Minister of Israel:
“He was a leader of global renown and respect, and the world deeply mourns the loss of such a treasured visionary for peace. His legacy is rooted in his unwavering and inspiring devotion to building better Israeli-Palestinian relations. His lifetime of work included the historic signing of the Oslo Peace Accords and paving the close alliance we have today between the U.S. and Israel.
