U.S. CONGRESSWOMAN MENG STATEMENT ON ELECTIONS IN BANGLADESH

“Recently, Bangladesh’s new Prime Minister, Tarique Rahman, was sworn in. I offer my congratulations to him and the people of Bangladesh on their recent elections. Many Bangladeshis in my district and across the United States followed the elections closely, with great hope for democracy, economic prosperity, human rights and the country’s future. I look forward to continuing to work to strengthen the U.S.-Bangladesh relationship and support members of the Bangladeshi community in my district.” Press Release
