Ultra-poor people will reduce to 5 percent: Momen
SYLHET, Jan 16, 2019 (BSS) – Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen today said that the number of ultra poor people will reduce to less than five percent within next five years.
“Poverty is a curse and we want to get rid of from it. Now 10-11 percent people are ultra-poor and our vision is to reduce the number to less than 5 percent,” he told a programme of Sylhet district administration here.
Sylhet Zilla Parishad Chairman Advocate Lutfor Rahman presided over the function.
