Zarif Fashion and Crafts observes Independence Day in New York

New York : 26 March, 2016 saw Zarif Fashion & Crafts observe the independence day of Bangladesh along with various political parties and other organization in diversity plaza of Jackson Heights, New York. A discussion meeting to mark the occasion was held in the premises of Zarif Fashion & Crafts, adjacent to Diversity Plaza. The program began with the playing of the national anthem. A minutes silence was observed in honor of the martyred freedom fighters.

The meeting was presided over by Mr. Azizur Rahman, President of Zarif Fashion and Crafts – New York. The officials and staff of Zarif Fashion, community activists, political leaders and culture personalities participated in the program. Self composed poetry and songs were rendered from among the attendees. The Independence Day program was attended by community activist Nowsher Ahmed Chowdhury, renowned business personality and soon to be air T.V Channel Prime24’s president Izhar Ahmed Showrov, Journalist Reza Islam, community activists and political leaders.

In course of discussion, the president of Zarif Fashion and Crafts Mr. Azizur Rahman reminded the audience that 3 million people sacrificed their lives in order to achieve independence. Hence, regardless of our occupation, Mr. Rahman urged everybody to work in unison to enhance, the image of the country.
