QUEENS BOROUGH PRESIDENT LEE ON SCOTUS’ DACA DECISION
USANEWSONLINE.COM DESK, QUEENS, NY – Acting Queens Borough President Sharon Lee stated the following in response to questions about the decision by the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) to uphold the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program by blocking the Trump Administration’s “arbitrary and capricious” attempt to terminate the program:
“Today’s ruling keeps young immigrants out of the shadows, and is one victory in the fight against this Administration’s perpetual attempts to peddle state-sanctioned discrimination and xenophobia,” said Borough President LEE. “Queens stands with Dreamers. The tens of thousands of DACA-eligible individuals in our county grew up no less American than anyone else who calls Queens home.”
