Safety Education and Training-2017at DC 37
UsaNewsOnline.Com Desk, New York : On June 2nd, 2017, Safe Patient Handling Education Training program was held at 125 Barclay Street, Manhattan, New York. The program organized by District 37, the Program Started 8:00 am as per Schedule, Welcome speech Delivered by the Director of Safety and Health Department Ms Guille Mejia through the opening remark by Oliver Gray, Natasha Isma (Moderator) hosted the program. Many Panelists including Arlette Loeser from school of Medicine Mount Sinai, Katia M Costa from NYU Medical center, Carmen Charles President of local 420 and Vice
President of District 37, Mohammad M Mahab from Saco America participated at the training program. Vice President of District 37 Ms Carmen Charles in her speech she stated this Training and education are critical to the success of any safe patient handling program, especially training on proper patient handling equipment use and ongoing education about the benefits of safe patient handling. By educating all staff, including physicians, about your safe patient handling program, hospitals can reduce instances of a clinician asking or expecting colleagues to move patients in an unsafe way. Training can range from onsite demonstrations of equipment use and maintenance to broader safe patient handling education programs and national conferences.
