UsaNewsOnline.Com Desk, New York : Incumbent Councilman Eric Ulrich (R-Ozone Park) Friday received the endorsement of Democrat Helal Sheikh, who came in second to Howard Beach attorney Mike Scala in the Democratic primary last month. Former Democratic City Council Candidate Helal Sheikh said, “It’s not about the party,” standing outside his former campaign headquarters with members of the Bengali community. “It’s about the person who I believe can do it better for our community.
Eric Ulrich said, “I was endorsed by Helal Abu Sheikh the former Democratic City Council Candidate who finished a strong second in the Primary Election. Sheikh received more than 1,500 votes and remains a respected leader in the Bangladeshi community. I am honored to have his support for my re-election!”
