Manhattan Borough President Brewer to hold public hearing on zoning loopholes
USANEWSONLINE.COM DESK, NEW YORK – Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer will hold a public hearing on Thursday, July 11 to collect feedback on how city zoning loopholes can be addressed.
Recently, the City Council approved a proposal to close the mechanical void loophole in numerous residential buildings. Still, other zoning loopholes such as unenclosed voids and minimum lot sizes continue to exist, and the Department of City Planning committed to addressing them.
The hearing will allow members of the public the opportunity to share their ideas for addressing loopholes by testifying at the hearing or submitting written testimony to [email protected] with the phrase “Zoning Loopholes Testimony” in the subject line. Press Release.
