STATEMENT FROM BRONX BOROUGH PRESIDENT DIAZ RE: President Trump’s Comments on Puerto Rico

UsaNewsOnline.Com Desk, New York : “Yet again, President Donald Trump and his ignorant administration is trying to find ways to weasel out of helping the millions of United States citizens that call Puerto Rico home. Much like he bails out on his bankrupt businesses, President Trump is looking to bail out on Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico is not one his failed casinos. He is gambling with American lives, and hanging them out to dry.
“President Trump’s responses to Hurricane Maria has been abysmal. This administration has dragged its feet to provide aid since the day the hurricane decimated Puerto Rico. His response has been nothing short of a disgrace.
“Nothing exemplifies the president’s indifference towards the island like the day he was tossing paper towels into a crowd of people who needed genuine help, like a natural disaster is some sort sick game to him. His treatment of Puerto Rico and its people has been revolting,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
