TOMORROW: BRONX BOROUGH PRESIDENT DIAZ HOSTS LABOR BREAKFAST & BUSINESS DAY LUNCHEON

UsaNewsOnline.Com Desk, Bronx, New York : On Tuesday, May 14, 2019, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. will host two events as part of Bronx Week 2019. First, Borough President Diaz will host his fifth annual Bronx Week Labor Breakfast. The event will honor DC 1707 Executive Director Kim Medina; 32BJ Secretary/Treasurer Kyle Bragg; Maf Misbah Uddin – Local 1407 President, ASAAL National President, DC 37 Treasurer; NYC Central Labor Council Political Director Lucia Gomez; and New York City and Vicinity District Council of Carpenters Executive Secretary/Treasurer Joseph A. Geiger. The breakfast is co-hosted by New York State Assembly Speaker Carl E. Heastie; New York State Assembly Member and Chair of the NYS Assembly Labor Committee Marcos Crespo, NYS AFL-CIO President Mario Cilento, NYC Central Labor Council President Vincent Alvarez, President of the Building and Construction Trades Council of Greater New York Gary LaBarbera, DC 37 Executive Director Henry Garrido, and Transport Workers Union Local 100 President Tony Utano.

Later that day, Borough President Diaz will host his annual Business Day Luncheon where he will give an update on The Bronx’s economic development and business growth as part of Bronx Week 2019. At the event Borough President Diaz will honor successful Bronx business people who have contributed to the economic growth of the borough, including: Kang Chae Jung, Kyun Chae Jung, Suzanne Jung Angell and Dosun Jung of C. Kenneth Imports, Inc.; Ceetay’s Amir Chayon; F&F Supply’s Gary Jacobs; Fordham Road Business Improvement District’s Wilma Alonso; Charlie DiMaggio and Stu Rice of FresCo and FresCo International; Liz Neumark and Dean Martinus of Great Performances; GVC Ltd’s Michael LaVallie; KZA Realty Group, Inc.’s Kathy Zamechansky; Mon Amour Coffee & Wine’s Jeffrey Garcia and Sidco Foods, Inc.’s Jose Negron.
