Ambassador Ziauddin presents credentials to Colombian President as Bangladesh’s non-resident Ambassador to Colombia

UsaNewsOnline.Com Desk, Washington, D.C. : Bangladesh Ambassador to the U.S.A. H.E. Mohammad Ziauddin presented Letters of Credence as the non-resident Ambassador to the President of the Republic of Colombia, H.E. Juan Manuel Santos at a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Bogota, Colombia on Tuesday (July 10).

During his brief discussion with the Colombian President after presenting the letters of credence, Ambassador Ziauddin conveyed the warm greetings of the Hon’ble President and the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bangladesh and extended their invitation to him to visit Bangladesh.

He said “Bangladesh and Colombia enjoy the best of relationship and it is now time to explore untapped potentials of the two countries for further strengthening the relations in all directions.”

Ambassador Ziauddin said Bangladesh and Colombia had always been cooperating in all international fora, particularly in the United Nations. He mentioned that his prime objective as the Ambassador to Colombia was to explore the potentials for development and deepening cooperation and overall relations between the two countries and two peoples.

The Colombian President said the two countries had common goals and aspirations and they would continue to work together for strengthening the bilateral ties.

Earlier, the Ambassador attended a luncheon reception hosted by Foreign Minister of Colombia Ms. Maria Angela Holguin on the occasion of the presentation of the letters of credence.
