ASAAL Seminar held in Brooklyn, NY

On Sunday 5^th of May at 7:00 pm there was a seminar organized by South Asian Organization (ASAAL) at Islam Tutorial Center. Before the seminar started there was a moment of silence for the victims who died in the collapse of Bangladesh garments factory. ASAAL Brooklyn Chapter President Engineer Ahsanul Hoque presided over the meeting. Mr. Monirul Islam who is ASAAL central committee vice president hosted the program; Central Vice President of ASAAL and Chairman of ASAAL International committee Mr. Mahab directed and assisted the seminar. The chief quest at the meeting was the founder and president of ASAAL Mr. Maf Mesbah Uddin. In the seminar, political director of ASAAL Mr. Najmi and Central Women’s coordinator of ASAAL Ms. Mazeda Uddin. Brooklyn’s Women’s President of ASAAL Ms. Shreen Ullah and Cultural secretary Ms. Rena Ahmed and many others were present at the meeting. The program’s main agenda was about the public advocated candidates on how we can support them. The 3 candidates were Lettia James, Cathy Guerriero and Reshma Shuzani. All candidates gave their reasons on why we should cast their votes. In the meeting the audience gave their opinion on why we should vote for them and how they can help the community.
