Manhattan Borough President Brewer to hold public hearing on congestion pricing
USANEWSONLINE.COM DESK, NEW YORK – On Thursday, March 21, Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer will hold a public hearing on the preliminary congestion pricing plan jointly put forward by Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio. The proposed plan will toll private vehicles and trucks that enter Manhattan south of 61st street, building off of the first phase of congestion pricing that was passed last year on for-hire vehicles and taxis.
In an effort to take the discussions from the halls of Albany to the public, Brewer will bring experts, elected officials, agency leaders, and the public together to debate the merits of a potential congestion pricing plan. The public is encouraged to testify.
