Finance Minister Muhith visits Consulate General of Bangladesh in New York

UsaNewsOnline.com: Mr. Abul Maal A. Muhith, MP, Finance Minister, Government of Bangladesh visited the Consulate General of Bangladesh in New York on 23 April. Mr. Md. Shameem Ahsan, ndc, Consul General and other Officers and Officials of the Mission welcomed him.

While interacting with the Mission officials, he narrated as to how the independence of Bangladesh completely changed the course of life and brought qualitative changes of her people. While mentioning the development journey of Bangladesh, the Minister said that all Bangladeshis should feel proud due to tremendous progress the country has achieved since its independence under the leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. While appreciating the dedicated services of the Consulate Officials, he advised them to work with more devotion and sincerity.

The Consul General briefly narrated the activities of the Mission and expressed Mission’s gratefulness for the continued support being received from the Government.

The Minister later visited all the Sections of the Consulate and interacted with the Mission officials. He also enquired about the well-being of the Bangladesh nationals who were present at the Consulate in big numbers. Dr. A.K. Abdul Momen, Permanent Representative and Ambassador of Bangladesh to UN, Mr. Md. Nojibur Rahman, Chairman, National Board of Revenue (NBR) and other senior officials were present. The guests were served with Bangladeshi cuisine.

It may be mentioned here that the Minister is currently in USA in connection with important official programmes.
