Mentor Power Village Celebrates First Anniversary

USANewsOnline.Com Desk, New York : Mentor Power Village celebrated its first anniversary and convened its executive committee on Sunday at the organization’s Queens, NY headquarters. The nonprofit offers youth empowerment programs that combine physical fitness, mental resilience and career guidance, while also providing creative initiatives for adults and seniors. Mentor Power Village has a network of experienced advisors and consultants who provide various types of guidance, both individually and in groups.

Founder Swati Chakraborty chaired the meeting, with board members Mahatpa Palit, Ph.D., Luntita Dathli, Ph.D., and Professor Smita Guha, Ph.D. Attendees included media personality Dima Nefartity, physician Bratati Majumdar, advisor Ram Chakraborty, activist Jamini Young and entrepreneur Soham Chakraborty.

The meeting opened with tributes to Mr. Robert Miller of Cleveland, OH, Dr. Debi Chowdhury of NC, and other revered mentors of India, Bangladesh, whose legacies and counsel inspired Mentor Power Village. Online congratulations arrived from Sugata Das Majumdar (North Carolina) and Sayanti Dutta (Virginia). The committee reviewed their activities and outlined a working plan for future community development.

“In the past year, Mentor Power Village activities included organizing yoga sessions for students at Columbia University, New York University and BMCC for World Yoga Day,” Swati Chakraborty said. “We participated in integrated yoga events in Central Park, ran workshops on self‑development, youth empowerment, women’s leadership and environmental conservation, and connected students with experienced mentors.”

The meeting concluded with a pledge that the organization’s second year will deepen its community impact through new developmental events. Mentor Power Village continues to utilize multidisciplinary programs with senior mentorship to foster resilience, health and career growth for young people and seniors alike. Press Release
