MI- BADC Hosts 2012 Bangladeshi American Night June 9

USA NEWS, DETROIT, MI – The Michigan Bangladeshi American Democratic Caucus (MI-BADC) will host the 2012 Bangladeshi American Night, June 9^th, 2012 at the Balkan Community Center, Troy, MI.  It will be a great night of political dialog, cultural diversity and live entertainment. This event is to formally kick-off the 2012 local, congressional and presidential campaign.

The attendees and speakers at this event are US Senator Carl Levin, US Senator Debbie Stabenow, US Congressman John Conyers, US Congressman Sander Levin, US Congressman Gary Peters, US Congressman Hansen Clarke,  MDP Chairman Mark Brewer, State Senator Hoon-Yung Hopgood, State Rep. Rashida Tlaib, State Rep. Lisa Brown, State Rep. Tim Greimel, State Rep. Lesia Liss, Candidate for Congress Syed Taj, Supreme Court Candidate Judge Shelia Johnson, State Education Board Candidate Michelle Fecteau, Dr. Karen Majewski, Mayor of Hamtramck, Former State Senate Candidate Dr. Debasish Mridha, MDP Treasurer Ramesh Verma, Hamtramck Councilman Anam Miah, Hamtramck Councilman M. Hassan. The officers of the Michigan State BADC (MI-BADC) Executive Council, Standing Committees, Congressional District Committees, and Advisory Council, and the Bangladeshi Americans from different cities of Michigan are expected attend this event.

This salient event will position MI-BADC as a critical and strong partner for advancing the political and social causes of not only Bangladeshi Americans, but also for other communities,” said Nazmul Hassan, President & Chairman of the MI-BADC Board and the Convener of BADC-USA.  Mr. Shahin added, “One of the Signature cause for BADC is to work with the US Congress on Duty and Quota free access of the Bangladeshi garments to theUSAmarket.  I am committed to lead this effort with the help of our leadership.”

The event will also feature a musical soirée of internationally renowned Bangladeshi artists, and our famous Bangladeshi cuisine will be served in a friendly atmosphere ideal for mingling with new friends and reuniting with old ones.
