Newly appointed Bangladesh Consul General meets Queens Borough President  

UsaNewsOnline.Com, New York : Ms. Sadia Faizunnesa, Consul General of Bangladesh in New York called on Ms. Melinda Katz, Honorable Queens Borough President on 12 July 2018 at Queens Borough Hall. Ms. Katz warmly welcomed and congratulated Ms. Faizunnesa for assuming the post of Consul General of Bangladesh in New York.

During the meeting, Consul General Ms. Faizunnesa has proposed the Queens Borough President to establish a permanent Shaheed Minar at a suitable place in New York and also shared a photograph of central Shaheed Minar of Dhaka. The Borough President assured of her possible assistance in this regard.

They discussed issues of mutual interests and assured each other of close collaboration in promoting the well-being of the Bangladeshi community and the Bengali literature and culture in New York. Consul General thanked Ms. Katz for her deep interests for promoting the welfare of the American-Bangladeshi community in Queens.
