Ramadan Iftar in Maimonides Hospital New York

UsaNewsOnline.Com Desk, New York: – On Tuesday, June 20th, 2017, Iftar was held and organized by
Maimonides Hospitals in Brooklyn. The program started at 7 pm, and was organized by Interfaith. There was also an award Ceremony under the pioneer roll by the extra ordinary supervision by the President and CEO of the organization Kenneth Gibbs. The event was hosted by Dr. Ahmed R. Rasheed who is the director of the emergency department. Imam Shaiful Islam recited from the Holly Quran, right after the welcoming remarks. The main keynote speaker was Captain Waleed Akhter. Many Islamic scholars, community leaders were present including the Kensington Muslim community Leader Mohammad Mahab, many Doctors, Nurses, Police Officers too. The role of Interfaith is bringing people together through art, culture and education. The Maimonides Interfaith Foundation is a dynamic, influential international charity promoting understanding and respect between people from the three Abrahamic faiths through the power of art, creativity, intercultural dialogue and education. They create cultural events that connect people such as this. Awards were presented to the kids and honorees. A prayer call was given by Imam Dr. Mohammad Elbar later on dinner was served for everyone.
