9-Month-Old Boy Riding Toy Car in Queens Gets Fake Speeding Ticket

By Ewa Kern-Jedrychowska : Slow down, kids! A 9-month-old boy got his first speeding ticket Sunday while driving his toy car in Middle Village, his parents said. Benjamin had hopped in the front seat of his new toy for the first time around 9 a.m. when his parents spotted a police car parked in front of a 7-Eleven on Metropolitan Avenue, near 79th Place. They asked one of the officers in the car to pose for a photo with their son, and when he got out of the car he had his ticket book handy. “The officer put his hat on and he kept saying: ‘this is definitely a summons,’” said Jessica Boiardi, 33, Benjamin’s mother. “It was so funny.” The boy was unfazed by the “incident,” his mother said. “He kept his hands on the steering wheel and was just staring at the officer,” she said.
